From 7-10 PM on Thursday, May 14, the Resource Counseling Center will host a Town Hall Meeting at Our Lady of Angels, at 7320 4th Avenue in Bay Ridge, to discuss how substance abuse affects the Bay Ridge community, and how the community can fight back.
Assembly Member Felix Ortiz and State Senator Marty Golden will deliver the opening remarks.
Featured presentations will include "Addiction 101"; "A Mother's Plea for Change"; and "A Young Man Talks about His Near-Death Experience."
A question-and-answer period will follow a review of available treatment options.
Invited guests include Donna dePola, director of the Resource Counseling Center, at 408 77th Street.
