Lola Star's Dreamland Roller Disco Moves to Lakeside

Dreamland, Coney Island entrepreneur Diana Carlin's a/k/a "Lola Star's" popular reinvention of the traditional Roller Disco, originally opened at the historic Child's Building on Brooklyn's Coney Island Boardwalk, has moved to Prospect Park.

Closed since 2011, when its Coney Island landlord refused to renew its lease, Dreamland will re-open on July 11 under the stars at Prospect Park's Lakeside, where open hours will be every Friday night from 8 to 10 PM.

Lakeside is the newly-completed 16,000 sq. ft. covered roller rink overlooking Prospect Park Lake, which features a green roof terrace offering beer, wine and a specialty menu from Bluestone Cafe.

At its July 11 opening night, Dreamland will host a "Flashdance" theme party, featuring costumes that embody the glitz and glam of the 1980's roller disco scene. (Flashy dress is strongly encouraged at all Dreamland Disco parties, BTW.)

Admission to Dreamland is $15.00 per person per night, which includes a pair of rental skates.
