Jurassic Paint

The New York City subway's Jurassic paint formations draw me because, like wormholes, they provide entry into the time-space continuum.

I like to imagine the dozens of MTA workers tasked over the decades with painting this once-bare subterranean iron door, unwittingly collaborating in the creation of a pseudo-geological feature -- a paint formation that has grown inexorably out of the iron the same way that a stalactite forms over centuries from dripping lime-water.
