Cllimate Change Forum at Bridgeview
On Thursday, February 13 at 7:30 PM, local Democratic club Bay Ridge Democrats will host a forum on climate change at the Bridgeview Diner, 9011 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge.
Guest speakers will include Climate Reality's Paul Reale, Lyna Hinkel of 350.org, and Eric Cesnik of Organize for Action.
Despite the broad consensus within the global scientific community that climate change is real, Brooklyn's climate change deniers continue to debate the point, frittering away precious time that could be spent confronting climate change head-on.
At the forum, you will learn the basics of climate change (what it is, how it matters, and where we are today in addressing its effects); how our borough and our city will be affected as sea level rise and extreme weather advance; and how political action can help us move past the deniers.
All are welcome.
