Adams, Gentile Host Presser on Verrazano Toll Plan

According to an email blast from the Bay Ridge Democrats, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and Council Member Vinnie Gentile will host a press conference at 1 PM at Shore Road and 3rd Avenue (next to the park) tomorrow, February 8, to announce a City Council resolution addressing the disparity between Brooklyn and Staten Island tolls in Governor Andrew Cuomo's proposed new Verrazano toll plan.

Characterizing Cuomo's ignoring the whopping $15 Brooklyn-side toll as "ridiculous", Gentile called for solidarity between Brooklyn and Staten Island bridge users.

Congressional Representative Michael Grimm apparently didn't get the Gentile memo -- or didn't have time to open it in his rush to take credit for the Cuomo deal.  Isn't part of Grimm's district in Brooklyn? [Digital Journal.]
