The DiMartino "Light of Hope" Holiday Display

Here's an idea I'd like to see go viral.

Joe DiMartino hosts one of Staten Island's most spectacular holiday light displays at his home at 107 Sharrotts Road (between Bloomingdale and Arthur Kill Roads) in honor of his wife Debra, who died at the World Trade Center on 9/11.

This year, he's transformed his display into a charity fundraiser for the Children's Cancer Unit at Staten Island University Hospital.

The lights are on in the evenings from 5-11 PM through January 5. Santa will stop by from 7-8 PM on December 13, 15 and 22.

Donations can be made by cash or check payable to "SSIUH Foundation, Inc."  Or you can drop off your donation with Raymonda Clark or Marie Cirmia (sister of the late Mrs. DiMartino) at the hospital's Nalitt Cancer Center, 256C Mason Avenue, North Site.

Every dollar the family collects will go directly to outpatient children's cancer care at Staten Island University Hospital.
