The event is expected to draw as many as 100,000 people from Bay Ridge and across the city.
In addition to dozens of commercial and informational street displays by merchants, local businesses and not-for-profits, the 3rd Avenue stroll will feature sidewalk cafes, live music and other performance.
Local Democratic club Bay Ridge Democrats will have a table at 79th Street and 3rd Avenue. Members are asked to volunteer to hand out campaign literature and information about the club. If you want to help out, email to BayRidgeDems@aol.com with your availability.
Also at the Third Avenue Festival on Sunday will be the Bay Ridge Historical Society. At the Society's table, between 74th Street and Bay Ridge Parkway, you'll find old photos of the neighborhood, local history books for sale, and a surprise guest.
You're also invited to BRHS' next meeting, in the community room at 9000 Shore Road, to hear a talk on Teddy Roosevelt.
