Fifth Avenue Gets Third Set of Security Cams

In what City Council Member Vinnie Gentile called "a major win for public safety" in Bay Ridge, the NYPD has approved surveillance cameras for a third Fifth Avenue location, in addition to the recently-announced installations at 72nd and 76th Streets.

The third set of security cameras will be mounted at the intersection of 82nd Street and Fifth Avenue.

Gentile thanked NYPD officials who worked with him during the approval process, calling the state-of-the-art cameras a "big step" toward making Fifth Avenue safer.

More on the coming of the security cams from the Brooklyn Eagle.
