NYC Safe Disposal Event in Prospect Park

During the coming month, the New York City Department of Sanitation, Bureau of Waste Management, Reuse and Recycling, is hosting NYC Safe Disposal Events in every borough to receive paint and solvents, pesticides, household cleaners, prescription drugs, automotive (antifreeze, etc.), light bulbs, flammables, and electronics (TV, VCR, game consoles, computers, etc.).

All events are scheduled for 10 AM to 4 PM, rain or shine.  Expect lines. You must wait to unload your vehicle until you are inside the event area.

The Brooklyn event is scheduled for Sunday, April 7 at Park Circle in Prospect Park (corner of Parkside Avenue and Prospect Park SW.) Cars approach from Ocean Avenue and Lincoln Road.

The Staten Island event is scheduled for Sunday, April 14 at Park Lot F at the Staten Island Mall (near main entrance at 2655 Richmond Avenue.) Cars enter at Marsh Avenue and turn right on the mall drive.
