Daily News interview, Steven Sierra, widower of Staten Islander Sarai Sierra, murdered in Istanbul during a vacation last month, praised Congressional Representative Michael Grimm for his help during the family's ordeal.
According to the Daily News, Sarai's body was found partly clothed. She had suffered brutal head wounds as she struggled for her life.
According to an ABC report, DNA was recovered from under her fingernails.
At the time of the Daily News interview, Steven Sierra, a city bus driver, wasn't sure if the family could afford his wife's funeral expenses. The Apostles Christian network has since announced on its website that Sarai's funeral has been fully funded and that the family has asked that donations end.
