Northside Film DIY Competition at Nitehawk Cinema

Williamsburg’s Nitehawk Cinema, which saw packed houses last year for screenings of short films and features by new artists from Brooklyn and around the world, is now accepting submissions for The 2013 Northside Film DIY Competition festival.

Cash prizes and more will be awarded for the winning feature and short film. Northside will also host a special screening of the winning films with an after-party to celebrate the award-winners and their crews.

The awards package, worth over $10,000 in value and services, breaks down like this:

• $500 in cash for the winning feature;
• $250 in cash for the winning short;
• an $800 certificate for DCTV services (equipment, post, workshops) for both winners;
• a screening at Nitehawk Cinema hosted by Northside Film for both winners;
• a MotionMaker sign-up with Dailymotion for both winners;
• two full page ads announcing each win in The L Magazine.

The deadline for the open call is March 1.
