ASPCA Offers Rescued Sandy Kitties for Adoption

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, hundreds of displaced pets were brought to ASPCA shelters in the New York City area.

To relieve overcrowding in its shelters, the ASPCA has dispersed rescued cats to veterinary clinics and other qualified organizations that volunteered to house them until they can be adopted.

One Love Animal Hospital, at 317 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, is sheltering 45 storm-displaced adult cats urgently in need of adoptive homes.  These tame former family pets have been kenneled for a long time, and would welcome some exercise and human kindness.

Photos of all the cats are displayed in the front window at the clinic and can viewed from Atlantic Avenue.  One Love is near the Smith Street stop on the F train.

For more information, call One Love at 718-532-7410.  You can also email the clinic at onelove@onelovevet.com.

I'm hoping to be able to post photos of the cats in a few days.
