Viking Love NYC, a newly-formed local not-for-profit, is hosting a holiday party for kids with special needs and those affected by Hurricane Sandy at 12 Noon, this Saturday, December 22, at St. Patrick's Auditorium, 401 97th Street in Bay Ridge.
Founded by a group of friends who grew up in Bay Ridge, Viking Love NYC has a single goal: to help those in the community who are most in need.
Over the past month, the group has focused on helping families displaced by Hurricane Sandy, including soliciting and delivering donated food, supplies and materials to storm victims across the five boroughs.
As Christmas approaches, the group has invited children in the city's hardest-hit areas to address “Dear Santa” letters, and arranged to have "Viking Santa Claus" personally deliver their gifts at the holiday party.
The event is free of charge. Refreshments will be served.
