Puppet People's "A Christmas Carol" at Brooklyn Lyceum

As part of its 5th Annual Holiday Marketplace, on December 15 and 16, the Brooklyn Lyceum, at 227 4th Avenue (R to Union Street) in Gowanus/Park Slope, will present the Puppet People's version of the Charles Dickens' Christmas classic "A Christmas Carol" at 11 AM, 2 PM and 5 PM.

The lavish production will feature hand-crafted marionettes, shadow puppets, masks, costumes and sets, and a professionally-engineered soundtrack filled with holiday classics.

Tickets are $11 each, four for $33 (online only), or $5 with a proof of purchase from the Lyceum Holiday Marketplace.

The Puppet People are Mark Carrigan and Michelle Smith-Carrigan, a mom-and-pop team of puppeteers who have performed together for 20 years at venues throughout the Northeast.

The Carrigans script their own shows and make all their own puppets and scenery, performing in an eclectic style that incorporates elements of many different traditions.

Each production is one-of-a-kind.

Santa Claus at the Marketplace

Santa Claus will also make an appearance at the marketplace and will be available to talk to kids -- and the family pet -- about their holiday wishlists.

Post a photo with Santa and the whole family directly to Facebook from the marketplace.  One free photo with Santa comes with proof of a marketplace purchase.

Marketplace admission is free.
