Girl Scouts Collecting Today for Hurricane Relief Effort

The St. Anselm's and OLA chapters of the Girl Scouts of America are coordinating donations to the Hurricane Sandy relief effort today in Bay Ridge.

The following items are in demand:

• Winter Jackets, Outer Wear and Accessories (hats and gloves)
• Bath Towels
• Blankets
• Socks
• Helpful Items for Workers (heavy gloves, batteries, flashlights, face masks, contractor bags, shovels, rakes)
• Cleaning Supplies
• Used Cell Phones
• First Aid (Band Aids, Neosporin, Ace bandages, Advil, Tylenol, cough medicine)
• Baby Items (wipes, diapers, formula, bottles)
• Kids' DVDs
• Chapstick
• Sterno
• School Supplies (book bags, notebooks, pencils, pens)
• Canned Goods (for Reaching Out Community Services)
