New Brooklyn Theater Update

According to an update today from the New Brooklyn Theater, 50 of the 510 backers who pledged their support through the expired NBT Kickstarter campaign have re-pledged their donations via Pay Pal.

NBT urges its remaining 460 Kickstarter backers to move their pledges to NBT now at www.newbrooklyntheater.com.

NBT will be on NY1 at 7 AM tomorrow morning with a fundraising update.  The theater hopes to be able to announce on the show that at least 100 of its Kickstarter backers have re-upped though its website.

The Slave Theater will be sold to the highest bidder at a tax auction on November 5.  A generous donor has provided NBT with a sizable gift, putting it in a strong bidding position, but the outcome isn't certain.

Kickstarter backers are asked to move their pledges now, so the Slave can again become a cultural resource for Bed Stuy and Brooklyn.
