IBEW Local 3 Endorses Gounardes

Thirty-thousand-member Local 3 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers has endorsed Democrat Andrew Gounardes for State Senate in the 22nd District of New York.

In a statement, the local said its support was based on shared values and Gounardes' commitment to working families.

Gounardes said he would fight to protect worker's rights and secure the American Dream for working families and the middle class in southern Brooklyn.

Gounardes, an attorney who grew up in Bay Ridge, is a former aide to City Council Member Vincent Gentile, a member of Community Board 10, and Director of External Affairs for Citizens Committee for New York City.
