Anvil Spraying in Bay Ridge Tonight

This morning on the walk to the 95th Street stop on the R, I noticed the city Department of Health had put up posters announcing that the pesticide Anvil will be sprayed tonight in parts of Bath Beach, Dyker Heights and Bay Ridge.

The zone is 81st St., 4th Ave. and 86th St. north to the Belt west and south, and east to 16th Ave.

Residents -- particularly asthmatics -- are advised to stay indoors, and air conditioners should be set to re-circulate. Kid's toys should be brought indoors and washed before reuse. Wash your hands and your produce.
