Day Laborers, Fifth and Bay Ridge Avenues

Not sure what this means or may portend for the economy, but I've been noticing for the past several weeks that the number of day laborers on the four corners of the intersection at 4th and Bay Ridge Avenues has been steadily growing.

On any given morning now, there are a couple dozen men out there waiting for a "job creator" to slide up to the curb and open the back door of the SUV.

I don't think I've seen that since 2008.
