Former State Senator Carl Kruger may have resigned under indictment, his political empire in ruins, but nobody at Community Board 18 in Mill Basin, in his home district, even mentions his name or talks about the scandal that ended his career.

Dorothy Turano, Kruger's longtime companion, chief political beneficiary, mother of his alleged domestic partner, and the well-liked (and handsomely reimbursed) district manager of CB 18 for 22 years, has, at least so far, been untouched by Kruger's fate.
