It happened at 2 AM this morning on Fort Hamilton Parkway and 75th Street in Dyker Heights, half a block from Saint Ephrem's Church and School.
The victim was 37-year-old Natalie Assee, hit by a speeding white four-door sedan while crossing the Parkway.
The driver fled the scene. A witness called 911.
Neighborhood residents say that cars coming off the Gowanus or the Verrazano race down Fort Hamilton Parkway to make the lights.
Dyker Heights residents have been complaining for years about speeding cars on Fort Hamilton Parkway.
