Via Gothamist, the blogger at Pardon Me For Asking has found an old map showing both Red and Yellow Hook in Brooklyn.As people out this way know, Yellow Hook, the original Dutch name for this area based on the color of the soil, was changed to Bay Ridge after a yellow fever epidemic in the 19th century.
