Green Church Bulletin

Three vehicles from Olde Good Things were seen in the church parking lot today.

The box truck pictured at right is the same truck that was there on Friday. The second vehicle was a much bigger truck. The third vehicle was a van that appeared to be outfitted to carry a flat load -- such as a stained glass window -- on the roof.

However, nothing but furniture has been seen being moved so far.

My Committee source got a call today that the stained glass windows were being removed from the church, but a visual inspection turned up no evidence that any windows were in fact being removed or transported.

Tapping sounds were heard coming from the inside the church, though.

The source reported that workers were seen moving furniture into the big truck today.

There was a meeting this evening at Vincent Gentile's office at 8703 Third Avenue. About a dozen members of the Committee attended.

Gentile updated the Committee on his discussions with the pastor and the congregation of the Bay Ridge United Methodist Church, prospective buyer Abe Betesh, and two (as-yet unnamed) alternative buyers who would spare the church.

Those discussions have been inconclusive.
